Models for the 2014 Rotary Fashion Show await their cue to display their local fashion pieces.

On Thursday, Sept. 25 the Rotary Club of Tehachapi held its annual Fall Fashion Show. This year it took place at the new Wood's Pavilion on F Street. The Pavilion proved to be an amazing venue for the event.

Over 100 people (mostly women) showed up to view the Fall lineup of new fashions being offered at four local clothing stores. Each store presented a wide selection of beautiful offerings for ladies of all ages and some looks for men, as well. The models walked from the bridal house through the audience to the front stage area showing off the different colors, styles and assortment of wonderful fashions.

The following stores featured their fashions at the event:

Dahlia's - A Boutique -

Owners: Linda and Ashley Rasmussen

Models: Caitlin and Felice Shenkosky, Donna Collins, Roxanne Sasia, AmberMcGee, Debbie Martin, and (young girls) Paige and Kiran Riplery.

Tehachapi's Own

Western Work Wear, Inc -

Owner: Mryanda Severi

Models: Jerrica Firth, Lisa Burke, Gerit Retes, Stan Severi, and Aliana Mulkern.

The Dressing Room -

Owner: Donna Wolfe

Models: Adrianna Gomez, Donita White, and Charlotte Miller.

Treasure eConsignment Shop -

Owners: Craig and Sue Stockton

Models: Michelle Fulton, and Roxanne Sasia

Susie Buehn coordinated the fashion element of the show, for which the Rotary Club of Tehachapi is very appreciative. Rotary also wishes to sincerely thank the stores and models for their time and effort in making this fashion show a success.

A nice variety of appetizers and wine spritzers were enjoyed by all. Over 35 prizes were raffled off and received with great enthusiasm by those attending. Kelly Saunders provided the musical accompaniment to the show and interludes. Sarah Rose was the Master of Ceremonies.

All in all it was a fun event which raised over $1,400 for the Rotary Club to be used for some of their numerous community projects, including Senior Battery Replacement, Senior Holiday Lunch, personalized books for kindergarteners throughout the district, support for Rotaract and Interact Clubs, scholarships for graduating seniors and much more.

Rotary International has been involved in eradicating Polio around the world and is a great source of funding for International projects for water purification, sanitation and toilet projects, skills training, etc. The Rotary Club of Tehachapi is a leadership organization made up of local business, professional and civic leaders who meet weekly on Thursdays at noon at Don Juan's Latin Grill.
