Rosamond, Calif. – On Saturday, October 18, from

10 a.m.– 4 p.m. EFBC's Feline Conservation Center will host its annual Kids Day event. A day centered on fun, educating kids about saving endangered wild feline species and ways young people can make their own contribution to preservation and conservation efforts. Special Event Admission is $10 per adult (12+ years) and $7 per child (0-12yrs), which includes most activities and prizes to take home.

As this is a special event day, EFBC Members' free admission benefit will be suspended (only for this day). All children must be accompanied by an adult - NO child drop-offs will be permitted.

The day's festivities will include educational live animal presentations, various activity areas of learning and fun, including an information scavenger hunt and "enrichment making," where guests make toys for cats which will be given to wild feline residents during the day. EFBC's goal is for children to learn they can be part of a very unique preservation center and how they can help endangered species conservation. They may even choose to return when they are 18 as EFBC volunteers.

The EFBC's Feline Conservation Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of endangered wild feline species. The EFBC houses over 70 rare felines representing 18 of 36 wild feline species, from the large and familiar leopards and jaguars, to the smaller and lesser known margays and fishing cats. On non-event days, and for a nominal admission, guests can visit during regular business hours, daily 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (they are closed Wednesdays). Parking is FREE.
