Evening of the Arts 2014

On March 20, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. Tehachapi High School was proud to showcase a night dedicated to the arts. The audience filled the THS gym to see not only art created by THS students, but also the talented warrior band and star studded drama skits. The funds from Evening of the arts go to all of their programs to help keep them strong.

Four Tehachapi High School teachers put on Evening of the Arts.  Carol Horst produced a movie that featured many of her students' art work. Paul Grana, the director of the Tehachapi Warrior Band and Jazz Band wowed the crowd with music such as On Broadway and September. Jackie Estes students' art works were showcased in the foyer of the gym for all to admire. Lara Crowe, the Drama Teacher, had students perform a scene from their upcoming advanced play, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Also their new improvisational team engaged the crowd with two comedy games.

The night ended with an all cast curtain call, and the students were able to share the "lime light" and take pride in their art work.  Evening of the Arts is a yearly event, so if you do not make it out this year come support Tehachapi High Schools art programs next time. " It is a truly great thing," says Ms. Crowe, "the students gleam with pride and its helps us out financially."
